Joseph
R. Nolan Jr. has been appointed senior vice president of corporate
relations for NSTAR. His predecessor, Carl Gustin, retired
Aug.1 after 20 years with Boston Edison and NSTAR. Nolan joined Boston
Edison in 1985, and was named vice president of government affairs
in 1999.
Mark E.
Warner, formerly plant manager of the Peach Bottom Atomic Power
Station, was named PECO Energy's vice president at Three Mile Island
Unit One. Gordon L. Johnston, formerly director of site engineering
at Peach Bottom, replaced Warner as plant manager.
The board
of Sierra Pacific Resources has named Walter M. Higgins chairman,
president, and CEO. Higgins rejoins Sierra after nearly three years
as chairman and CEO of AGL Resources. Michael R. Niggli resigned
as chairman and CEO in July. The board also named Jeffrey L. Ceccarelli,
a 28-year veteran of the company, the new president of subsidiary
Sierra Pacific Power Co.
Eugene
Peters, Julie Simon, and Mark Stultz, formerly directors
at the Electric Power Supply Association, have been named vice presidents.
Peters was named vice president of legislative affairs; Simon became
vice president of policy; and Stultz is the new vice president of
public affairs and marketing.
Dynegy has
promoted Griff Jones to vice president of power trading. Jones
joined Dynegy in 1991, and most recently served as senior director
of Midwest power and Northeast power trading.
John D.
Fringer has been named vice president for major markets for Nicor
Energy. He previously was director of electric services, the post
he held since joining Nicor in 1998.
America's
Fiber Network, formed by six energy and telecom companies, has named
Gordon Martin CEO. Formerly, Martin was president of carrier
services for Williams Communications.
Guy F.
Caruso has been appointed director of United States Energy Association's
National Energy Strategy Project. Caruso has served as director, Office
of Oil and Natural Gas Policy, Office of Domestic and International
Energy Policy, at the Department of Energy. Gary R. Lytle was to begin
a term as interim president of the United States Telecom Association
in September. Lytle was selected to replace Roy M. Neel, president
and CEO of USTA, during Neel's leave of absence.
Constellation
Nuclear Services has named Kirk M. Noonan, a former Framatone
Technology executive, to its new position of managing director of
marketing and business development. Noonan has nearly 20 years of
experience in the nuclear industry.
Madeleine
W. Ludlow, the former vice president and CFO for Cinergy Corp.,
has joined Cadence Network Inc. as CFO. Cinergy is one of Cadence's
investors. Cinergy also made several promotions. Larry E. Thomas
was named group president. Craig Weida became vice president
of purchasing. James L. Turner was appointed president of the
energy delivery business. Joe Hale has been named president
of Cincinnati Gas & Electric. John C. Procario was named vice
president and COO of the energy delivery business. John Bryant
has succeeded Cheryl M. Foley as president of the international
business unit, following Foley's June retirement. William J. Grealis
was named executive vice president and chief of staff. Julie S.
Janson became corporate secretary.
Dominion Resources
Inc. has named Steven A. Rogers vice president and controller.
Rogers joined Dominion in 1996.
