John Kean, Jr. was named president and COO of NUI Corp. He succeeds his father, John Kean, who assumes the position of chairman and CEO. The younger Kean previously was executive v.p. of NUI and its main subsidiary, Elizabethtown (NJ) Gas Co. He then worked with Chemical Bank and KCS Energy before rejoining NUI Corp. in 1990.

Ian London was appointed president and CEO of Ontario Hydro International Inc. He has been COO since February, when company president Thomas Drolet retired. A 16-year veteran with Ontario Hydro, London helped establish the company's international marketing operations.

PECO Energy Co. promoted J. Barry Mitchell to v.p., finance, and treasurer, to replace Morton W. Rimerman, who is retiring. Nancy J. Zausner was promoted to the new position of v.p., power transactions, in the bulk-power enterprises unit. Katherine K. Dodd was appointed corporate secretary to replace Lucy Binder, who is retiring.

Raymond G. Dube was promoted to v.p., transmission and distribution, at United Illuminating Co. He replaces Walter E. Barker, who is retiring at the end of this year. Dube joined the New Haven, CT, company in 1964 and has served on various industry organizations, including the Strategic Pool Operation Review Task Force that recommended changes to New England's transmission and generation dispatch system.

Cincinnati Gas & Electric Co. and PSI Resources Inc. have announced the senior management team that will lead CINergy, the company that will result from their proposed merger. Jackson H. Randolph \(em chairman, president, and CEO of CG&E \(em will be the first chairman and CEO of CINergy. James E. Rogers \(em chairman and CEO of PSI \(em will be vice chairman, president, and COO of CINergy. John Mutz will be president of PSI Energy when the merger is completed.

United Cities Gas Co. named Richard K. Wrench to be director, regulatory affairs. Patricia D. Jackson was named senior manager, rates, in the regulatory affairs department. Susan I. Simmons was promoted to assistant controller.

Coastal Corp. elected Jeffrey A. Connelly president and CEO of ANR Pipeline Co., Coastal's largest natural gas subsidiary. Connelly joined Coastal in 1967, and most recently served as senior v.p. and corporate treasurer. He will be suceeded as treasurer by Ronald D. Matthews, assistant treasurer, Coastal States Management Corp.

Charles B. Seymour, v.p., facilities construction and maintenance, at Atlanta Gas Light Co., has retired after 42 years of service. W. James Goldin, senior v.p., civic affairs and diversified operations, retired after 34 years of service.

James Moore, Jr., president and COO of American National Power Inc., assumes additional duties as CEO. ANP was formed in 1986 as Transco Energy Ventures Co., but was sold last year to the U.K.'s National Power plc. ANP, headquartered in Houston, manages electric power-generating facilities.

Pennsylvania Power Co. elected Robert P. Wushinske to secretary and also appointed him general counsel while he continues as v.p. and treasurer. Randy Scilla, financial analyst, was elected assistant secretary and assistant treasurer. James R. Edgerly, v.p. and director of Penn Power, will assume additional legal duties associated with Ohio Edison Co., the parent company of Penn Power.

Kenneth M. Jasinski was named lead counsel to New York State Electric & Gas Corp. He succeeds Norman Abell, who will retire from the New York City law firm of Huber Lawrence & Abell, which is general counsel to NYSEG. Jasinski heads the firm's energy regulatory department.

Mission Energy Co. has hired S. Linn Williams, deputy U.S. trade representative from 1989-91, as senior v.p. and general counsel. Williams currently is a partner in the Washington, DC, law firm of Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue. Williams previously was v.p. and general counsel of the Overseas Private Investment Corp.

Barbara Kates-Garnick, former commissioner, Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities, has joined the Economics Resource Group Inc. in Cambridge, MA, and will direct the firm's utility practice.t
